Jack in May

Jack’s latest appointment with the doctor reveals that he stands at a staggering 26″ (well, technically he doesn’t stand yet, but he’s working on it…) and weighs in at 16 pounds! Well, done lad, well done. He is growing well, and doing well, and soon to begin the adventure of solid foods…

When life gives you lemons

Ah, spring has sprung around here, and that means cartwheelish days, and lemonade stands. Clouds put a bit of a damper on things, but still a good time was had, and a small profit also…

Jersey Jack

Jack made a short trip to New Jersey while his sisters went to South Carolina for Spring Break. He spent time with his Grandma Hemeleski as well as Alex and Adam, and our dear friend Moof. Jack is a comfortable traveller, who only broke down during a huge traffic jam on the Parkway– and who can blame him for that? Many other drivers were crying about it too.

The Dog Whisperer

Any who have met her know very well, that Ms. Avery is a 100% animal lover. Proud caretaker of her fish, dispenser of treats to the divine Miss P, and lover of squirrels and birds, moths and any other critter she can spy. But it is MooShu who gets the lion’s share of her attention and knowledge lately. She has taught the dog to lay down with a single look, and has not let various mishaps to distract her from learning how to walk the Molls on her new retractable leash….

Jack in April

Our smallest one is growing and changing before our eyes. He’s begun to explore his neighborhood, as the weather is finally warm enough for him to get out in his stroller and see the sights of New Hampshire. He seems particularly fond of the trees, perhaps the contrast of the pine limbs against the blue sky is appealing to him. Soon enough, he will tell us, as he is really a very vocal young lad.

this is where the fishes live

We had a very successful road trip to Freeport, Maine this weekend. Jack had his first lunch out with the family and did beautifully. Though a word of advice to all moms with kids in diapers – avoid the Mediterranean Grill. And on a developmental note, Jack is rolling over and lifting his chest off surfaces. He is also trying very hard to speak – it’s true!

Go Ask Alice

Elli was in her school play this fall with the role of the Cheshire Cat in “Alice in Wonderland.” Elli and all her classmates had a great time putting on a fun show.

It’s been one week

It’s been a rough week here, but we have persevered and have the weekend firmly in our sights. It shan’t get away from us!!

The week started with Elli down with some awful stomach thing. Then she recovered, but as we swung into the week, things got crazy. Thom worked and extra night, we had school conferences for Avery and the wacky logistics of getting the car fixed, all on one night. Then, no time to recover, as Avery spent two days home from school with the same ol’ stomach bug. And all the craziness threw Jack off his schedule….

But now, all kids are healthy, Jack is mellowing out, and the weekend is upon us!
